about our Groundwork Volunteers
A really inspiring night at South Leeds Academy where 45 community groups around West Yorkshire received grant awards to support community project in West Yorkshire.
The grant money is funded through assets siezed from criminals and a proportion of this is given back to communities in the region.
At New Wortley we have been funded to support a programme helping newly released inmates at HMP Leeds get a fresh start in life. We will be working in partnership with West Yorkshire Chaplaincy Project (WYCCP) to deliver this imporatant work which will help reduce re offending.
Thanks to the Police Commissioner Mark Burns Williamson and his team for a great evening and for the funding for a really important project.
