We are delighted that the famous Sheesh Mahal restaurant on Kirkstall Road is returning to New Wortley to support our Festival on the 2nd May!
We will have some terrific indian food available from the community centre on the day and in addition we will be hosting an Indian Grill at Castleton Primary School!
Azram is a great supporter of community events around Leeds but has really committed to New Wortley in the last year and we really want to thank him for his support and his terrific food!
Thanks Azram!

We had an Our Place meeting to finalise the New Worley Our Place plan
on the 6th March here at the community centre. The meeting was chaired
by Rachel Reeves MP and Dr. Andrew Sixsmith.
The Our Place plan has now been agreed to by partners
and will be available to view on the website soon. We are also planning a public
event to present the plan and keep the local community fully informed.

As Spring approaches our Mens Walking group is going from strength to strength. In the last few weeks we have walked to Beeston, Armley Mills, Kirkstall Abbey , Bramley Falls Wood, Western Flatts Park and Leeds Canals. We always come back to the centre in time for lunch and a great time is had by all.
The group is supported by John Battle, Tim Dawtry and Bill Graham so if you want to come along just ask at the centre or come to the centre at 9.30am on a Friday morning and come along.
Its a great way to get out of the house, get some fresh air in your lungs and enjoy some good company….and you get a free hot dinner!
The mens walking group is supported by funding from the City Connect project – Thank you!
